
Kara Gillette
Kara Gillette was introduced to iconography in 2015 through a workshop led by Teresa Harrison. Over the next 5 years Kara studied extensively with Teresa, quickly taking on the role of assistant, co-teacher, and eventually becoming an instructor and retreat leader on her own. Kara has also studied with several other instructors in both acrylic and egg tempera mediums. Kara has taught at Kanuga and at churches and retreat centers around the country as well as online. A native of Portland, Oregon, Kara holds a B.A. in Art History and Psychology from Portland State University. She now lives in Boise, Idaho with her husband, Christian, and their two Siamese cats.
